DamageDesk
Damage photos and claim status on the Shopify order page
When an order arrives broken, send the customer a claim link. They add the damaged items and photos. Your staff review the claim on the Shopify order page instead of digging through email.
What happens when a customer reports a damaged package
Every damaged package claim gets the same steps: photos, a status and a message history. You still decide on the refund or replacement in Shopify.
-
Ask for the photos you need
Set the photos you want for each product collection, like the outer box, the shipping label and the damaged item. Customers can use their phone camera or upload files.
-
Review claims on the order page
Staff create claim links, look at the required photos, message the customer, add internal notes and set a status from the order screen.
-
Download the evidence
Download a ZIP with the claim details and the original photos when you file a carrier claim yourself.
Email alerts, webhooks and an API
Get an email when a claim comes in or changes status. Send claim events to your own tools with webhooks, the REST API or MCP. Resolved claims are kept for up to 90 days on Free, 1 year on Starter and 3 years on Pro.
Customer data and privacy
DamageDesk handles claim data on behalf of your store. Read the Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Agreement, or email [email protected].
